A compact heater for a specific area

With its 1 600 W output, the HEATSCOPE SPOT 1600 heats people and surfaces within its radiant field. Choose it for a specific occupied area, such as a small table on a covered patio. Wind, height and orientation affect comfort: output alone does not guarantee a heated area.

The All Black body complements an anthracite pergola or dark ceiling. It is 67 cm long: check the space for the heater as well as the clearances around it.

Directing heat towards occupied seats

The reflector directs radiation from the two carbon elements towards the front of the heater. Position it to cover the seats in use, accounting for obstacles between the heater and people.

The ventilated rear is part of the SPOT’s design. It does not remove the need for the free spaces required by the instructions, particularly beneath a ceiling or near a wall.

Warmth you can feel quickly

The instructions state a heating effect after around 5 seconds. This means the first feeling of warmth, rather than guaranteed immediate comfort across the entire patio. This responsiveness suits occasional use when you sit down.

Switch on the heater when the area is occupied and choose a suitable power level. Your comfort also depends on outdoor temperature and protection from draughts.

Installation and orientation

The SPOT 1600 can be wall or ceiling mounted with the supplied brackets. The instructions give a mounting range of 1.8 to 3 m, with a minimum of 2.2 m for ceiling mounting. The angle and safety distances must be observed.

The IP24 rating does not replace protection from direct rain. Provide a location compliant with the instructions and have the electrical connection checked before mounting.

Visible light emission

The SPOT shows an orange glow during operation. The manufacturer specifies light output below 600 lumens: this model suits you if you are happy to see the heating elements lit.

On the black finish, this glow contrasts with the body. When choosing, consider both the supporting structure’s colour by day and the heater’s appearance during an evening meal.

Remote control included: two power levels

Reference MHS-SP1600AB includes an infrared remote control. It switches on and off and selects 50 % or 100 % power from your seat, with a line of sight to the receiver.

You have 800 W at half power and 1 600 W at full power. This setting lets you adjust the warmth you feel; it does not promise a quantified saving on consumption.

The SPOT 1600 comes with its wall or ceiling mounting kit. Choose the anchors according to the nature and strength of the supporting surface.

Adjust the direction to focus heat on the area in use, then check the distances in the instructions. An extension or accessory may be needed depending on the ceiling configuration.
