The black manual SPOT 2800 suits a project where controls are planned as part of the installation. Prepare its four-conductor connection; this version does not include a remote control.
The manual All Black Heatscope Spot 2800 Watts is intended for an installation whose controls have been specified in advance. It delivers 2 800 W without an infrared remote control included.
Connection uses four conductors. Have the control components and their ratings selected according to the manufacturer’s diagram; compatibility with a smart home system cannot be assumed.
Heat directed towards the occupied area
Two carbon heating elements produce radiant heat. Position the heater so this reaches people.
The SPOT remains affected by operating conditions: wind, temperature and distance influence comfort. A sheltered position is preferable.
Preparing the installation
Before ordering, check the space for the heater and its brackets, then where people will sit:
- Exposure: provide protection from direct rain and limit draughts.
- Height: 1.8 to 3 m depending on installation; minimum 2.2 m for ceiling mounting.
- Uninsulated or partly open spaces: direct radiant heat towards the occupied seats rather than the entire area.
All Black finish and visible light
The black body matches dark pergolas and roof structures. The reflector directs radiant heat forwards.
The slatted front shows an orange light, specified as less than 600 lumens. It remains visible while the heater is running.
A version with wired controls
Choose this version if you want controls integrated with the installation. On/off and 50 %/100 % functions must be implemented according to the instructions.
- Main power button: for switching the unit on.
- Power selector: provides a physical choice between 50% and 100% output.
Heated area
Coverage depends on height and orientation, as well as wind exposure and outdoor temperature. These conditions are the same for both SPOT 2800 colours.
