The challenge of White: Thermal engineering and SCHOTT NEXTREMA® ceramic glass

Designing a white terrace heater capable of consistently delivering 2200 watts requires genuine industrial expertise. Many standard appliances eventually yellow, fade or warp under the effects of heat and UV exposure. The Heatscope Vision meets this requirement through the use of high-end technical materials specifically selected for durability.

The housing is made from extruded aluminium with a white finish designed to retain its elegance over time. But the centrepiece remains its white ceramic glass front developed by SCHOTT NEXTREMA®. This technical material has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, allowing it to withstand the most marked temperature changes without stress.

From an optical perspective, this ceramic glass acts as a particularly efficient filter. The carbon fibre heating elements naturally produce visible light. The white SCHOTT screen softens it to keep it below the 300 lux threshold. You therefore benefit from soft, penetrating warmth accompanied by a very discreet amber glow, perfect for preserving the intimate atmosphere of a terrace dinner. Once switched off, the appliance naturally blends into white ceilings, bright conservatories and light-coloured pergolas.

Remote control: Managing power at your fingertips

The remote-controlled version of the Vision 2200W further enhances everyday ease of use. The appliance integrates a discreet infrared receiver, which avoids the need for more complex wired control as on the manual 4-wire version. Connection is made simply via a standard 3-wire cable (Live, Neutral, Earth).

Once the appliance is powered, the ergonomic remote control gives you immediate control over the atmosphere of your terrace:

• ON/OFF function: Switch the system on or off instantly without leaving your chair.
• 50% mode (1100W): Activates the first carbon element. This is the ideal setting for mid-season use or for maintaining gentle warmth while keeping electricity consumption under control.
• 100% mode (2200W): Activates the appliance’s full power to respond effectively to evening temperature drops.

Heating coverage: The advantages of the 116 cm format

The size of the thermal emitter is just as important as its power. With its 116 cm length, the Vision 2200W generates an elongated infrared beam. Unlike more compact or square heaters that concentrate warmth on a single area, the Heatscope envelops the full length of an outdoor sofa or a table seating 4 to 6 guests.

Fixed at an ideal performance height between 1.80 m and 2.50 m, the heater covers the following areas:

• Indoors (12 m²): Winter gardens, insulated conservatories, workshops. Performance is at its maximum.
• In sheltered outdoor areas (10 m²): Covered terraces, loggias, pergolas enclosed on at least two sides.
• In exposed outdoor areas (8 m²): Medium-wave technology (IR-M) heats materials and bodies directly, making it possible to maintain a comfort zone of 8 m² even on a balcony exposed to light breezes.
