To heat seats under a pergola without adding a very bright appliance, the Heatscope® Pure All Black infrared heater combines a glass-ceramic front with a black finish. This model is sold alone: it suits you if you plan controls tailored to your installation or already own a compatible control box.
Choosing black is primarily a visual decision. It complements anthracite structures or creates a contrast on a light wall; it changes neither the output nor installation conditions compared with the PURE White.
A black glass-ceramic front
The curved front forms an understated whole with the heater housing. Before choosing its position, consider both the appearance on your structure and the occupied area: a well-integrated heater must also radiate towards the people to be warmed.
The SCHOTT NEXTREMA® glass-ceramic is one of the features distinguishing the PURE from the gridded NEXT. This choice is particularly relevant to projects where the front’s appearance matters as much as output.
The front remains a hot surface during use. Keep the space in front of the heater clear and follow the instruction clearances, including those for curtains and furniture.
3000 W for a clearly defined living area
The PURE uses a dual carbon-fibre heating element. It heats the area exposed to its radiation, rather than trying to warm the entire volume of outdoor air.
To size your installation, start with the area actually occupied and its exposure:
- Enclosed space: take the room’s use and required regulation into account.
- Sheltered patio: position the radiant heater according to the table or seats, with a clear line of sight to users.
- Wind-exposed area: compare positioning and the number of heaters before deciding on the total output.
The PURE retains a glow during operation. Its front reduces this, but do not choose it expecting a complete absence of light.

Choosing your controls: optional Smartbox or Somfy
To operate the heater remotely, choose the control box for your intended use before finalising the purchase.
The infrared Smartbox is designed for use with a dedicated remote control. It is offered separately or in equipped packs.
The Somfy Smartbox suits a control system compatible with Somfy io. It must not be confused with the infrared model or RTS controls.
Protection and outdoor use
IP65 is one of the PURE’s specifications. It does not replace mounting requirements or permit enclosing the heater in a structure without a solution designed for that purpose.
Installation and orientation
The supplied bracket allows wall or ceiling installation to be planned. The instructions state a maximum height of 2.70 m for the PURE; orientation and clearances must also be respected. Prepare the electrical connection before finally fixing the heater.
Questions before purchase
Does the heater require special care?
Unplug the heater and let it cool before cleaning. Use a damp cloth according to the instructions; an ordinary glass cleaner may not suit its surfaces.
What electrical installation is required for 3000W?
Have an electrician make the connection. They will size the circuit and its protection for the heater and your installation according to the instructions and applicable rules.
Does the standalone model include a remote control?
No. For a remote control, choose the infrared pack or add the corresponding Smartbox. The standalone model remains relevant for a project with controls planned separately.
Can it be recessed into a conservatory or pergola ceiling?
Standard mounting leaves the heater visible. Recessing requires a solution compatible with the exact product reference, with its own ventilation and clearance requirements observed.
