The Smartbox: A user logic designed for savings and comfort

The Smartbox is not an optional accessory or a simple gadget added to inflate a product sheet. It is the brain of the installation, designed to solve a major architectural issue: how do you modulate the power of a unit fixed 2.50 metres high under a bioclimatic pergola, without having to run new unsightly wall cables?

Installation is remarkably smooth. The Smartbox is discreetly inserted between the electrical supply (mains power) and the Heatscope heater. Once connected, it delegates all control to the supplied infrared remote control. This compact box makes it possible to manage four essential states: Power On, Power Off, 50% power, and 100% power.

The 50% setting (that is 1500W) is a genuine energy revolution. At the beginning of an autumn evening, when the air is only just cooling down, using 3000W would feel overwhelming and wasteful. By switching to 50%, you maintain a cocoon of gentle warmth while cutting your electricity bill in half. When night falls and the cold sets in, a simple press on the remote releases the unit’s full power.

Somfy® integration: Your terrace at the heart of the connected home

The modern home is connected. That is why the Heatscope Smartbox was developed to integrate natively into the most demanding home automation ecosystems, especially those of global leader Somfy®. Depending on your existing installation, you can choose compatibility with the RTS (Radio Technology Somfy) protocol or the bidirectional io-homecontrol standard.

Thanks to this integration, via a control hub such as TaHoma, your Pure All Black heater interacts with your awnings, LED lighting and roller shutters within a unified interface. The automation possibilities become virtually limitless:

• "Arrival" scenario: Trigger terrace pre-heating from your car via your smartphone, 10 minutes before arriving home.
• "Summer dinner" scenario: Program automatic activation at 50% power at sunset, synchronised with the deployment of the awning.
• Energy safety: Set up an automatic and systematic shutdown at 1 a.m. to guarantee that no heater remains on all night by mistake.

3000 Watts under control: The superiority of the dual carbon element

Delivering 3000W of power is within reach of many heaters. But distributing this thermal energy evenly over more than one metre in length is a technical feat that is uniquely Heatscope. The Pure range uses a dual carbon fibre heating element arranged in parallel.

Unlike old single halogen tubes that create an unbearable hot spot in the centre while leaving the ends cold, the dual-strand carbon architecture ensures perfectly smooth heat diffusion. For hospitality professionals equipping large rectangular tables, this guarantees absolute thermal fairness: the guest seated at the end of the table enjoys the same comfort as the guest seated in the centre.

This exceptional performance is combined with the black-tinted SCHOTT NEXTREMA® glass-ceramic front. It filters light emissions to keep them below the 300 lux threshold. The heater warms intensely, but never dazzles, preserving the lighting aesthetics of your lounge space.

IP65 certification: No boundary between indoors and outdoors

The installation of electrical equipment outdoors is subject to strict standards. The IP65 rating of the Pure All Black certifies complete sealing. The extruded aluminium housing is designed to prevent the slightest dust ingress (rating 6), and it perfectly withstands water jets coming from all directions (rating 5).

In practice, the unit fears neither driving rain, nor snow, nor salty seaside humidity, nor even direct cleaning with a water jet. It can remain outdoors throughout the winter without a protective cover. Thanks to its combustion-free heating technology — zero CO2 emissions, zero odour, zero fan noise — it is equally relevant indoors: in a cold industrial loft, a high-ceiling artist’s studio, or a winter garden.
